Textiles and clothing are priorities in the ESPR Working Plan 2025–2030. Product-specific measures are indicated for adoption in 2027, while binding fields and transition periods will follow in the respective legal acts.

## In brief

- Start now with reliable material and supplier data.
- Model colours and sizes without unnecessary duplication.
- Do not confuse an indicative timetable with a binding start date.

## Data that can be prepared now

A pilot can capture identity, fibre composition, origin, production sites, care, repair, durability, certificates and reuse or recycling information.

## Manage variants and suppliers

Keep shared information at model level and differences at variant or batch level; require suppliers to provide defined fields with source, validity and approval status.

## Move from pilot to scale

Choose one manageable product line, standardise the bill of materials, test translations and QR placement, and turn findings into supplier templates.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is there a final mandatory-field list for all textiles?

No. The ESPR provides the framework; product-specific measures will define the concrete requirements.

### Is 2027 already the binding start date?

No. The working plan indicates adoption of a measure in 2027; application dates will come from the later legal act.
